Late X-Men Origins: Wolverine Review

It had originally been ages since I had watched the X-Men Origins: Wolverine film, but as I had just watched the new Logan movie teary eyed, I fancied playing this game next from my back log of PS3 games. Dust off your PS3, this is a must play!

Late Nier Review

At first, I had a lot to say about this game, mostly positive remarks. I was initially impressed by how it played and the direction of the story, but after numerous playthroughs thanks to multiple endings, I’m resigned to saying that the game feels half-finished.

Late Call Of Juarez: Bound In Blood Review

I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had momentarily played a Juarez game previously, resembling an arcade shoot-em up with cardboard cutouts, but having seen true 3D models in the screenshots, I was intrigued. So it was a nice surprise to find myself on the frontlines of the American Civil war.

Thoughts on Pros and ‘X’ons

So the Xbox One X has just been dropped, and I thought it was time I gave my 2 cents on the new iteration of consoles, though I’ve had zero usage of them, so everything is based on theory.

It’s an interesting time we live in. Previously when a new iteration of a console was released, it had usually just been a smaller version requiring less power, essentially making it more streamlined, such as the PSone, PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim, PS3 Super Slim, Xbox 360S, etc. Now, console developers are giving gamers a much more powerful option during the midpoint of this generation’s lifetime.

Late Truck Racer Review

I’m still on with getting through my PS3 backlog, and having caught the racing bug, decided to give Truck Racer a go. This is a fantastic rally racing game, including trucks that just want to swing their ass out at every corner.

Late Monster Jam Battlegrounds Review

So I had a new third-party controller to try out after having to repair it when it arrived in the post this morning. I also have a massive PlayStation Plus backlog of games to get through, so today was a good day to start (and complete) Monster Jam Battlegrounds.

Top 5 io Games @ iogames.ninja

Seeing as I went in a different direction the other day, reviewing a f2p mobile game when I prefer to stick to console and PC games, I thought that whilst I was having this mid-life crisis, I’d go all in and review online browser games.

So over the years, the trend has been that online games have strayed away from being developed as flash (shockwave for those old enough) games, and use some form of Java and html5 to provide a gaming experience that does in some form now resemble actual, fully featured PC games.

Early Shadow Of War Mobile Review

I haven’t played mobile games in years, and even after playing this for a full month, still don’t see the appeal. I laugh now when people complain that a console game might only contain a few minutes of a cutscene after hours of grinding. Friends, there are no cutscenes in mobile games!

Top 5 Bad Guys From Video Games

Looking back at games I’ve completed to come up with this list, I do find that most invdividual bad guys are usually nothing but forgettable place holders, only an obstacle to overcome as a boss at the end of the game, whilst throughout the rest of the game, they’re nowhere to be seen, not really bring anything additional to the experience. Only are there a few examples that counter this stereotype, of enemies that drag the story by its hair, forcing you to look at the cutscene as the voice actors put on some of the best performances of their life.
