Late Truck Racer Review

I’m still on with getting through my PS3 backlog, and having caught the racing bug, decided to give Truck Racer a go. This is a fantastic rally racing game, including trucks that just want to swing their ass out at every corner.

Late Monster Jam Battlegrounds Review

So I had a new third-party controller to try out after having to repair it when it arrived in the post this morning. I also have a massive PlayStation Plus backlog of games to get through, so today was a good day to start (and complete) Monster Jam Battlegrounds.

Top 5 io Games @ iogames.ninja

Seeing as I went in a different direction the other day, reviewing a f2p mobile game when I prefer to stick to console and PC games, I thought that whilst I was having this mid-life crisis, I’d go all in and review online browser games.

So over the years, the trend has been that online games have strayed away from being developed as flash (shockwave for those old enough) games, and use some form of Java and html5 to provide a gaming experience that does in some form now resemble actual, fully featured PC games.

Early Shadow Of War Mobile Review

I haven’t played mobile games in years, and even after playing this for a full month, still don’t see the appeal. I laugh now when people complain that a console game might only contain a few minutes of a cutscene after hours of grinding. Friends, there are no cutscenes in mobile games!

Top 5 Bad Guys From Video Games

Looking back at games I’ve completed to come up with this list, I do find that most invdividual bad guys are usually nothing but forgettable place holders, only an obstacle to overcome as a boss at the end of the game, whilst throughout the rest of the game, they’re nowhere to be seen, not really bring anything additional to the experience. Only are there a few examples that counter this stereotype, of enemies that drag the story by its hair, forcing you to look at the cutscene as the voice actors put on some of the best performances of their life.

So The Controller I Use Is…

And now onto a fascinating topic I’m sure everyone is dying to know, what is my favourite controller? For those that couldn’t care, than to cut this short, it’s currently the PS4 controller, preferably in black, but if you really want to know why, than read on.
As like anyone else, I’ve used a vast range of controllers over 20 years of playing games, and each generation of console has always brought a new iteration of comfort in our handheld devices that cater more and more to the ergonomics of our hands and many hours long playstyles whilst integrating bold, new features to enhance our interactions with games.

Late Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros Review

Rejoice, for Paper Mario has been saved. Flying out of the ashes that was Sticker Stars, the series has been merged with the Mario & Luigi team, producing a game with the best of both worlds. Even Mario & Luigi benefit, as the issues players had in Dream Team, have been ‘papered’ over.

Late Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Review

Essentially it’s Mario Kart 7 re-skinned with Sega characters, but that’s not to say that it doesn’t bring some fresh ideas to the race track and it’s certainly just as fun. Don’t be blinded by the visuals, thinking this game is for kids, as its difficulty and “grown-up” rage induced fits speak otherwise.

Late Pokémon X (& Y) Review

This is it. Finally, a fully fledged 3D Pokémon rpg that I’ve been waiting for since childhood – that was 20 years ago! Now all I’ve got to do is just catch up on 20 years of Pokem… 850 fucking Pokémon species! I’d rather pick up a book and learn about the real animal kingdom!

Late Assassins Creed Unity Review

Don’t do it. Do not do this to yourself. Don’t waste your time on this absolute piece of shit, no longer having any relevance in the overall AC universe since they killed Desmond off. It’s nothing but 80 hours of collectables and a story that makes you want to blow your brains out.
